Hi, I’m Sara.

I am a bilingual, Pakistani-American Muslim therapist on a mission to help as many people as I can overcome the stigma against seeking help. Especially those people who are used to carrying it all on their shoulders: overachievers and perfectionists; people who identify as BIPOC; immigrants and third culture kids; and people who just want to sit across from someone who “gets it.”

I’m here to help you figure out what’s been keeping you stuck in old patterns and how to demolish them, learn how to process your past in order to heal and move forward, and start treating yourself with kindness and compassion - because you deserve nothing less. So get ready; your wellness journey is just getting started.

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, and other issues. I have completed various trainings to facilitate therapy in these areas, including EMDR, brainspotting, advanced psychotherapy for perinatal mood disorders, and a one-year psychoanalytic fellowship.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV from UCF but am much happier using my master’s degree in counseling from Northwestern University (being on TV, turns out, not my thing). I hold Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credentials in Texas and Michigan, and am a registered telehealth provider for the state of Florida.

what to expect

When you join me as a client, we work on processing your past, gaining insight into who you are and why you do things the way you do, and using those insights to move forward and create better, healthier ways of thinking and problem solving. I also help my clients learn new coping skills to manage stress and anxiety, challenge and replace beliefs that keep you feeling low, and practice setting boundaries with confidence. I am your shoulder to cry on, your ever-enthusiastic cheerleader, and your guide, all rolled into one. With me, you will learn to be well, be bold, and, most of all, be YOU.
